Wallpaper Order Terms & Conditions

(For Customer Uploads & In-House Designs)

These Terms & Conditions apply to all wallpaper orders placed with Pop Papel, including:

  • Orders where customers upload their own image(s), and

  • Orders using our in-house designs.

By placing an order and submitting or selecting artwork, you ("the Customer") agree to the following:

Pop Papel is established in the Netherlands and operates in accordance with Dutch law and applicable European Union regulations.

2. Image Ownership & Copyright

If you are uploading your own image(s):

You confirm that:

  • You are the legal owner of the image(s) you upload, or

  • You have obtained the necessary rights and permissions to use the image(s) for reproduction and commercial printing.

Pop Papel is not responsible for verifying ownership of customer-submitted content. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any legal claims or liabilities arising from copyright infringement or unauthorized use.

If you are using our in-house designs:

All designs offered by Pop Papel are the intellectual property of our studio or licensed third-party designers.

These designs are for personal or business wall decoration only and may not be resold, reproduced, or used for other commercial purposes without our written consent.

3. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to decline any order or collaboration at our discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, content that is:

  • Racist or discriminatory

  • Illegal or offensive

  • Violent or hateful

  • In breach of any applicable laws or rights

We are committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and legally compliant service.

4. Image Use & Confidentiality

  • Customer-uploaded images are used exclusively for your order and will not be reproduced, shared, or made available to other customers.

  • In-house designs may be used for multiple orders and are not exclusive to any one customer.

  • We may document completed installations for use in our portfolio, website, or promotional materials. We will always seek your approval before publishing any identifiable images of your space.

5. Image & Print Quality

For customer-uploaded files:

  • You are responsible for ensuring that the image resolution and quality are suitable for large-format printing.

  • We will assess image quality and may contact you if your file appears unsuitable, but we cannot guarantee optimal results for poor-quality uploads.

For in-house designs:

  • Our designs are optimized for wallpaper printing and colour-checked for quality.

  • Final print results may vary slightly depending on wall texture, lighting, and installation environment.

Please note that printed colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to differences in monitor calibration and printing technology. While we strive for colour accuracy, small variations may occur and do not constitute a defect.

6. File Handling & Storage

Uploaded files will be securely stored for the duration of your project and deleted after 90 days, unless otherwise agreed.

In-house design selections are recorded for production but are not linked to personal data beyond what is necessary for order fulfilment.

7. Installation Options & Liability

We offer both professional installation services and a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) option.

For DIY installations, we provide detailed instructions and support materials to help you achieve the best possible result. However, Pop Papel cannot accept responsibility for any issues, damage, or unsatisfactory results arising from self-installation or installation by third parties.

Our quality guarantee applies only to installations carried out by our own team of professionals. For optimal results and full warranty coverage, we strongly recommend using our professional installation service.

Damage During Delivery

Any visible damage to packaging must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery. Please inspect all products before installation. We are not responsible for damage reported after installation has begun.

8. Orders, Approval, Payment & Cancellations

All wallpaper orders are custom-made to the customer’s specifications and cannot be returned, refunded, or cancelled once production has begun.

We require full payment in advance. Printing or production will not begin until:

  • Payment has been received in full, and

  • Final written approval of the design, layout, and measurements has been provided by the customer.

It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully review and confirm all details before approval. Once approved and in production, changes cannot be made and Pop Papel cannot be held responsible for any errors in the provided information.

Payment must be completed within the timeframe indicated at checkout or in the payment request. If payment is not received within this timeframe, Pop Papel reserves the right to cancel the order without further obligation.

Ownership of the delivered wallpaper remains with Pop Papel until full payment has been received (eigendomsvoorbehoud), in accordance with Dutch law.

9. Consumer Rights (EU & Netherlands)

In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Dutch consumer law, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to products that are made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.

This exclusion does not affect the customer’s statutory rights in the event of a defective or non-conforming product.

10. Defects & Complaints

Customers must inspect delivered products immediately upon receipt.

Any manufacturing defects must be reported in writing within 24 hours after delivery.

A product is considered defective only if it does not conform to the agreed specifications or exhibits a manufacturing fault.

Defects do not include issues resulting from incorrect measurements, installation errors, wall conditions, environmental factors, or colour variations as described in these Terms & Conditions.

If a defect is confirmed, Pop Papel will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or reprint the affected product.

11. Delivery, Production Time & Risk Transfer

Production of wallpaper orders typically takes 7 to 10 business days after final design approval and receipt of full payment.

Delivery times depend on order quantity, delivery location, and logistical factors.

For deliveries within Spain, estimated delivery time is up to 14 days after completion of production.

Deliveries outside of Spain may take longer and delivery times cannot be guaranteed until shipping arrangements are confirmed.

All stated production and delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to external factors beyond our control.

Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer upon delivery to the agreed address, unless professional installation by Pop Papel has been agreed, in which case risk transfers after installation.

12. Warranty

Inspection & Warranty

Customers must inspect the wallpaper immediately upon delivery and before installation. Any visible defects, damage, or print issues must be reported in writing within 24 hours of delivery and before installation begins.

Self-installation
Once installation has started by the customer or a third party, no warranty applies, and Pop Papel accepts no liability for damage, defects, or issues arising during or after installation.

Professional installation by Pop Papel
Where wallpaper is installed by Pop Papel’s professional installers, warranty coverage applies as follows:

  • If damage occurs during installation, Pop Papel will provide replacement wallpaper at no additional cost.

  • If the wallpaper detaches from the wall within one (1) year as a result of installation issues, Pop Papel will return to reapply the wallpaper.

Pop Papel is not responsible for damage occurring after professional installation due to wall conditions, moisture, structural movement, environmental factors, misuse, or external influences.

If a valid warranty claim is confirmed, Pop Papel will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or reprint the affected product. No additional compensation shall be due.

13. Force Majeure

Pop Papel shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, supplier failures, transport disruptions, strikes, power outages, or government measures.

14. Pricing & Taxes

All prices are displayed in euros (€).
Prices include or exclude VAT as indicated at checkout.

Pop Papel reserves the right to correct pricing errors and adjust prices prior to order confirmation.

15. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch privacy laws. Further details are available in our separate Privacy Policy.

16. Amendments to These Terms

Pop Papel reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version applicable to an order is the version in force at the time the order is placed.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights under EU law.

18. Language

These Terms & Conditions may be made available in multiple languages. In the event of discrepancies, the English version shall prevail.

19. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order with Pop Papel, you confirm that:

  • You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions;

  • You have the legal right to use any uploaded content;

  • You accept that we reserve the right to refuse content or projects that breach these terms.

Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions is required before completing an order via the website or other ordering channels.
